I love grape nuts and this recipe was one of my college favorites. I have not had it in a while and was craving something sweet. I actually halved the recipe so I would not eat so much!
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup reduced fat or regular peanut butter
- 4 cups POST GRAPE-NUTS® Cereal
MICROWAVE corn syrup, sugar and peanut butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 minutes or just until mixture boils, stirring after each minute.
ADD cereal; stir to coat well.
PRESS firmly into foil-lined 13×9-inch pan sprayed lightly with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into 32 bars. Wrap bars individually with plastic wrap. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.
I did not line my pan with foil or wrap them individually. They may not look very good but they taste great especially with a big glass of milk. I had to skip the milk and indulge in a few more:).
