My little boy turned two on June 14th, and we threw him a Construction Birthday Party. He is crazy about diggers, dump trucks, cranes, cement trucks, orange cones, etc.
We made our own signs and put them around the house. No Dumping Zone went on the bathroom door, Men at Work (Destruction Zone) was on the play room door, and we hung caution tape from it, Cation, Toddlers at Play was on the gate to our back yard, and I wrote Caution, Eli is 2 in sidewalk chalk on the driveway and had the arrows pointing to the backyard.
We lined the front of the driveway with orange cones and had a walkway of orange cones leading to the backyard. We borrowed them from a wonderful neighbor who is a police man! We had yellow and black balloons with Caution tape hung everywhere. We purchased the caution tape at Lowes.
I bought yellow construction hats from Oriental Trading Company and put together some goody bags that looked like brown paper bag lunches by the kids hats.
We got a cake from Publix, and I bought the digger to put on top to cut costs.
We served up some hot dogs, veggies, chips, and drinks and let the kids loose in the back yard.
Here are some fun family pics from the party!
