We started of the week by heading to the MUSEUM. We went to our local State Museum and it was great. They had a dinosaur exhibit that Eli loved! A great book we read was Maisy Goes to the Museum by: Lucy Cousins.
He colored on the chalkboard there.
We actually got to go to the Children’s Edventure Museum too this week. Both Museums had $1 admission, we love taking advantage of those days.
We moved on to music, maracas, and microphone.
We went to storytime at the Library and they read lots of books about a MOUSE and MONKEYS.
We made homemade pretzels and I made a M and a E for Eli of course.
We looked in the MIRROR and pointed out our body parts. Eli just loves looking at himself in the mirror and talking.
MOON was Thursday and we read lots of great books like Goodnight Moon by: Magaret Wise Brown, Papa Please Get the Moon for Me by: Eric Carle.
MACHINES was another day and there are a couple of good books like Byron Barton’s Machines at Work which Eli loves to read.
We saved the best for last MONKEYS! We went to the zoo and saw some MONKEYS and read tons of books on monkeys. I even let him watch a little Curious George cartoon. His favorite Monkey books were Monkey & Me by: Emily Gravett, 5 Little Monkeys play Hide and Seek by: Eileen Christelow.
Also, we had our first snow in Columbia, and Eli had a lot of fun playing in the snow. So here are some pics.
