Our week of Christmas consisted of a road trip to Indiana through the beautiful winter wonderland of Asheville, NC, and Tennessee. Eli saw his first taste of a beautiful snow-covered mountains and trees. We stayed in Corbin, KY on the way down, and Eli had fun jumping on the bed.
We arrived in Indiana and woke up to a fresh coat of snow the next morning.
Eli had his first snow ball “fight”.
he built his first snowman,
and watched it melt away.
He went sledding.
It was the perfect start to the week of Christmas.
He spent lots of time with family, friends, and dogs. He danced with Aunt Magan, colored with Uncle Steve, snuggled with Grandma Vive, flew like an airplane with Papa, played piano for GG, played with Evan and Collin, and got lots of kisses from Aunt Jayne and Uncle Mike. He sampled some good home cooking and was showered with many fun toys, books clothes, and snacks. He received his first little manager scene set and when mom and dad were out on a “date” we came back to find a headless angel. Good thing for super glue.
He had a lot of excitement and eventually crashed!
We were able to play in the snow about 2 full days in Indiana and on the road trip back we stayed at a hotel with an indoor heated pool. We were able to take a nice swim in Clinton, TN in the middle of winter. He loved every minute of it.
We ended Christmas week by going to the Nights of Lights when we got home at the Riverbanks Zoo. It was beautiful, and we rode on the train again too! Eli was in awe of all the lights!
We will get back to the letter of the week after the New Year. Letter K is coming up next!
