Day one was for CHRISTMAS TREE and PRESENTS. I had a mini Christmas tree waiting for him when he woke up with a little present under it. He openend up the bubbles, and we blew them inside the house. They looked like falling snowflakes. We went to a cookie decorating party and admired their beautiful tree and huge dog. We drove around the neighborhood and looked at all of the christmas trees and lights. I even made him a Christmas tree shaped snack. We put ornaments on the tree and even decorated ourselves.
Day two was for SANTA and JINGLE BELLS. He opened up a Mr. Potato Head Santa and we went to Publix and gave another Mr. Potato head to Toys for Tots for our act of kindness for the week. We tried to visit Santa in the mall, but he was out to lunch, oh well. We sang Jingle Bells and shook the jingle bells too.
On the third day, we talked about REINDEER. We have a great book called Santa’s Reindeer that we read, and we did a cute little reindeer project with our hand and footprints. Eli did not enjoy dipping his foot in the paint, but he survived. It was all worth it in the end too!
Day four & five was for SNOWFLAKES, SNOWMAN, and GIVING. We found a great book at the library called Millions of Snowflakes which is one of our favorites now. I know we will see some snow when we travel to Indiana for Christmas, and he will get to experience it first hand. We made cookies and delivered treats to our neighbors and friends. Eli received lots of exciting gifts in the mail from his cousins and grandparents and some sweet gifts from his neighbors too. He absolutely loved every one of them!
We drove around almost every night and walked around the neighbohood on the nice days looking at Christmas decorations and lights. We are planning a trip to Riverbanks Zoo for their Nights of Lights when we come back from Indiana too. We are leaving tomorrow and I can almost smell the snow!
