Plain and simple, I decided to make this weblog for several reasons, in no particular order:
1.) Everybody’s doing it
2.) I like free stuff, and I like giving away free stuff
3.) I love my son and daughter, and I love sharing our adventures
4.) I know some really interesting and creative people, and hopefully more people will learn about them through this site
5.) Saving money makes us all feel better and less stressed out at the end of the month
About Me:
I am a singer/songwriter (http://www.kimberlysummer.com/) and stay at home mom for my three year old son and 14 month old baby girl. I am doing my best to save money and use coupons and be frugal about spending, saving, and cooking. I am trying to learn how to sew (have a sewing machine, but am afraid to try). I would love to make gifts for people. I go crazy about getting mail and look forward to it every day. I love freebies and winning stuff even though I never win I keep trying. I am trying to learn about being green every day and slowly implement it into my household. I love running, photography, the mountains, the beach, art, listening to music, reading books, and learning new things. I love supporting the arts and supporting people who make their own things. I love Jesus Christ. I love my son and daughter and want to be the best mom I can be to them. I love my husband and want to support and love him the rest of my life. Oh, and I think you ROCK!
Reason for blog:
I want to help other moms to have resources and ideas for their little ones and themselves. I hope to teach my son and daughter something new every day through activities, art, music, games, books, adventures, etc. I love trying new recipes, saving money through coupons, deals, and sales, and learning how to be healthier and make my home green. I love giving stuff to people and love receiving and trying new things. I love being creative and making music. I hope to review stuff and let others win stuff. I hope to promote and support other artists and people like me. I hope to learn from others and bounce ideas back and forth.

Hi Kimberly–
You sound a lot like… me, sans the kid!
I stumbled across your BLOG today & enjoyed reading about your journey as a mom & musician. This is of particular interest to me as I am a musician (and married… and looking at having kids soon as well). I sometimes gets frightened when I think about having a kid… like my music dreams will just end… I’m sure you understand.
I browsed you musicals interests & found those to be similar to mine as well. You should check out Sara Groves. She’s doing the mom & music thing too (she was featured on iTunes a few months back). Anyway, thanks for sharing!
